Dr. Lemmex completed medical school and his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Calgary. He continued his training by completing a Sports Medicine fellowship at Duke University in North Carolina, followed by another year of subspecialty training in Nice, France with the renowned Prof. Pascal Boileau. Dr. Lemmex has dedicated his clinical practice to arthroscopic reconstruction of the lower extremity. In particular, Dr. Lemmex has a special interest in hip arthroscopy and treating young adults with hip pain.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Lemmex has experienced academic success with various research endeavours. He has published many journal articles, book chapters, and clinical commentaries on various topics in both national and international publications. Dr. Lemmex is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba where he is part of the Pan Am Clinic Foundation research team. His academic efforts currently focus on improving clinical outcomes for patients undergoing arthroscopic reconstruction of the hip, knee, and ankle.

Dr. Lemmex currently works in both Winnipeg, MB and Calgary, AB. He is the co-Head team physician for the Winnipeg Ice of the Western Hockey League. He previously served as an assistant Team Physician in the NCAA for Duke University and has experience caring for athletes from the recreational to professional level.
