Dr. Trent Thiessen completed his medical degree and orthopaedic surgery training at the University of Saskatchewan in 2003. He then pursued fellowship training in foot and ankle reconstruction, followed by an additional year in Australia focusing on arthroplasty and orthopaedic trauma.
After completing his advanced training, Dr. Thiessen returned to Saskatoon, where he continues to practise at Saskatoon City Hospital.

With more than twenty years of experience, Dr. Thiessen’s practice is dedicated to lower extremity reconstruction, with a particular focus on foot and ankle conditions. He works closely with colleagues who also specialize in foot and ankle reconstruction, creating a collaborative environment that supports evidence-based, patient-centred care. Dr. Thiessen believes that excellent surgical outcomes begin with a thorough assessment, clear communication, and selecting the most appropriate treatment for each patient.

Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Thiessen enjoys spending time with family and friends at a northern cabin. He fishes year-round, plays golf in the summer, and snowmobiles during the winter months.
